Done Buying

Bought my first Rolex when I was 21. In the intervening years I have had my share of Rolex models, all of which I have parted with except for my remaining, and keeper Rolex a 14060M 4 liner. My other watch is a Patek Philippe Neptune, reference 5080. I’ve reached a stage were I’m content with my selection. Now I don’t have to have the latest model, or follow the hype on a brand. Watches just don’t excite me anymore, I’ve moved on to other things. After all I have my one Patek and one Rolex.

I feel I am nearing contentment myself.

How about a picture of the final pair?

Being content with what you have is a very good thing truly. I'm reaching that stage where there isn't much else if anything I like enough to actually buy.

Perhaps we need some kind of psychologist on site to deal with this type of behavior when members jump the shark like this.

Good for you. I'm reaching that point, currently I don't plan on buying a watch without selling/trading a watch. But I can't stop looking, not yet anyway.

Love and watch, watch and love. That's all there is.

Bold and challenging move! Congratulations on being able to pull it off. I did the same thing earlier this year after 30 years and in the end I kept one watch, my Omega Seamaster. I have moved on and haven't looked back. Best of luck to you!
