2000 Rolex 118235 Day-Date 36 President 18K RG Fluted Oyster White Roman Dial

For sale is an excellent condition 36mm 18 karat rose gold Rolex Day-Date “President”. The 118235 is a P serial, circa 2001 production, and is not accompanied by box or papers.

The Rolex features a polished rose gold case, which is accented by a fixed rose gold fluted bezel. The Day-Date is mounted on its original 78355 rose gold Oyster bracelet with brushed outer links and polished center links. The 78355 Oyster bracelet contains 12 full size links plus two half links, and will comfortably fit a 7.35 inch wrist. The bracelet is stamped with an “AB8” clasp code, which corresponds with a production date of August 2000. The Rolex features a white dial with applied polished rose gold Roman numeral hour markers, polished rose gold hands, a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock, and a day window aperture at 12 o’clock. The movement used in the 118235 is the Rolex caliber 3155, which features a power reserve of approximately 48 hours, and is running well.

The case on the 118235 has been preserved well with evenly thick lugs, and still retains its original caseback sticker, while the fluted bezel appears untouched with crisp flutes. The Oyster bracelet has stood the test of time well and contains no stretch, while the coronet on the clasp remains crisp and thick. Overall the Rolex is in excellent condition with the only noticeable imperfection being some faint surface level hairline scratches on the watch’s high polish accents.
