I try not to get attached to watches in a sentimental way to avoid them sitting in a box. Especially is they are not super rare. Sell/trade to get pieces that will get worn. I traded 5 for 1 killer piece and have zero regrets. Good luck with you next move.

You don't need to trade a watch you love, in most cases we regret our actions in the end, keep it and add a Sub.

I’ve been reluctant to sell then but they just haven’t been worn…. In years. And collectively all 3 cost less than 1 sub.

Too much work to sell is something I always think -

Do you recommend posting here or WUS ? Or just trying to sell to Bobs or Hodinkee or ease of sale ?

I’m too lazy to sell, so I would just go through a secondary if I was. I actually finally did some work and got a price to move a Tudor and GS, it was for less than half of MSRP. Decided to just keep the watches and at some point give them away, wasn’t worth selling them IMO.

Check out this thread, it was very insight for me. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=918664

I dont think anyone has ever purchased a watch they didnt like (or didnt think they liked). No matter how many watches you own, they are all there for a reason - because you liked something about them. That wont change. But that doesnt make them special, and that doesnt mean you should own them. I am of the opinion that it should probably go if its not getting any wrist time, unless there is significant sentimental value.

My most worn watches by far are my 2 GMT's. My speedy and my navitimer have sentimental value, my daytona is my "nice" occasion piece. My SM300......... might be on the chopping block soon. I like a lot of things about it! That's why I bought it... but its not getting worn and it has no sentimental value.

Personally….if I’m not wearing certain watch/es after a certain time, and there’s no sentimental value….I’d be moving them on. I’d also rather have Rolex vs an Omega. Not that I don’t like Omega, I’d just rather have a Rolex first.
