Question....Owners of 124300 OP Green dial
Question for owners of the 41mm OP Green.
I have been trying to obtain this watch through an AD with no luck. looking at the prices used for this piece. they seem to not be moving compared to other pieces which have gone down the last few months... I am at a point where I'm considering purchasing in the grey/ used market. Do you feel the watch is worth the current market price? and how much would you be willing to pay for this reference. TIA

Yes. I was in the same boat. I’ve been waiting over 1.5 years for a green 41. Just got the text the other day mine should be in within a couple weeks.
I would pay 9500-10k for it for sure if I didn’t just get the notification. If you do get one from the AD then just sell one. But if they discontinue it it’s bumped up to 14-15k like the red and yellow then it’s not worth it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I got one just a couple of months ago from my Boutique less than 30 days after asking for it. I now wear my coral red and now green OP41s more than my other Rolex.
But price is very subjective. Mine were $6200 then $6400 MSRP which is a great value, not sure how much higher I would go. I’m generally a MSRP only guy but I also want a discontinued yellow dial which are trading way too high for me so I keep watching. I would keep hitting up all the ADs you can go into in person. I don’t think ADs get a lot of them because of all the OP sizes and colors but I don’t think the demand is crazy high. When I asked for it in July my SA said there was only one other person ahead of me. Less than a month later he called to say it was there, I never asked if someone had turned it down or they had received two. |

The shade of green in this watch is perfect to me.

I was able to get a 41 for my wife about 2 months ago after a short wait, I have a great relationship with my SA. She loves it and I love that she loves it but I am not sure if I would pay grey prices for the OP, however all my watches have been at MSRP so I am biased to MSRP.

It’s all relative I suppose. I wouldn’t pay over retail for that reference

The green OP is a great watch. At MSRP. But I would say that about all Rolex watches.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't let the lack of price decreases on the gray market deter you yet - it's like the gray market hasn't gotten the memo; for example, they are still charging $10-$12k for 36mm DJs with black dials and smooth bezels. They can keep asking that as long as they want, but eventually they're going to have to face reality. I would wait it out a little longer, things are improving and either it'll come in to the AD or the gray market will eventually be forced to come to its senses. |

I’ve been waiting for a 41mm OP Blue for about 6 months now from 2 AD’s that I’ve been working with. I may never get it, but not overly concerned anymore. I don’t like waiting, and I’ve started to buy other things to fight the urge lol.

I had one, but from grey market... took a bath on it as I never really wore it. For reference, you can find them now in the 9500 area, which imho is not really worth it.

I'd normally side with the grey path, but not for +40% MSRP. (I think they're about $6500 MSRP, on C24 now for $9000+.) Definitely. Green dial is cool, but not that cool. I can kinda wrap my head around the "John Mayer" Daytona hype, but not for an OP41.

For what it's worth I took a foray into the 41 OP earlier this year buying a black dial from my grey dealer, and I was very surprised at how 1mm made the watch feel a lot bigger than my 40mm watches... ended up moving it because of that, just mentioning it incase you hadn't tried on an exhibition model to get a feel for the size!

So many other wachtes are at 9.5k that are basic watches without complications. I never got the ''it only has 3 hands and that's it'' logic.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
I plan to wait for an AD to come through and/or the grey market finally comes back down tie earth (msrp’ish)
