VTNR- weak superluminova , calling all VTNR owners

I picked up a VTNR with a friend and noticeably the luminova is much weaker than our submariner's.

I was wondering is this an issue with all VTNRS?

Yep I have both and there is a noticeable difference

would be curious if this is a design flaw in the production of the dial, I would say Rolex would want to fix this

No difference between the VTNR and Sub lume. Chromalight is chromalight.

Erratum: just checked again side by side and exactly the same indeed. Don't know why but I always had the impression that the sub was stronger without having them side by side

Have to agree and dials are made in 3 different factories now all owned by Rolex,and cromolight is cromolight and should be no difference no matter the sports model.

How dare it be referred to as Super-LumiNova in the thread title. Clearly it’s Chromalight. What would Rolex’s marketing department say?!!

I must say that I barely have any sense of comparative brightness of the various luminescent paints on my various watches…
