Incoming - Longines Master!

Hi all,

I wanted to add a diamond dial dress watch to my collection. I saw this at a significant discount and pounced! Steel, 40mm at 11.1mm thin with a power reserve up to 72 hours.

Very comfortable on the wrist, nice exhibition case back with triple folding clasp. The strap also allows it to be worn casually with a lovely blue sun-ray dial, the whole package works very well.

Longines always do a great job!

Easy to make the argument that Longines is offering more bang for your buck than anyone in the industry.

They've managed to settle in comfortably at a price point abandoned by many watchmakers.

Completely agree. There is also something for everyone given the vast range of watches on offer.

I appreciate Longines quite a bit. I’m looking at a master collection very soon. Have a Zulu myself

That’s very nice - I like the applied numerals, there is some nice depth to the dial.

One thing I really like is the movement was made especially for this collection- the moon phase is set from the crown. In the second crown position move it forward and it sets the moon phase, move it back and it sets the date. My Lange 1 MP even requires a pusher which I find inconvenient. Can most watches MP now be set via the crown?

My Omega Speedmaster Moonphase uses the same way of setting the date and moonphase. Might be a Swatch thing. I believe most moonphase are set with a pusher. It is super nice to be able to quick set it and the date from the crown.

Yes it is far easier but I guess the independent brands would have to design completely new movements to incorporate this feature.
