I bought my first Rolex somewhere around 1995 as a gift to myself for college graduation. As we all do I made so many poor decisions when I was younger financially and otherwise. I bought it from a guy I knew that had a pawn shop. At that time I did not even research the model before or even after until a few years ago as I wanted to get it serviced. I assumed it was completely authentic, we all know what that gets you. I contacted Rolex in Dallas and they gave a rough estimate so I sent the watch to them. They stated they would not service the watch because of the dial and a few of the links were not original. Once I got the watch back I started to do more investigations into the watch I had of course its too late. Without magnification I could not tell that the dial had been refinished nor that any of the links were incorrect. I would like to get a Rolex service card from them to help with authenticity. How can I do this? As I said they will not work on it so is there anything I can do? May be a longshot but am open to your suggestions.

It depends on how "inauthentic" it is but you might be able to pay to have the fake parts replaced with original parts if the watch is mostly authentic (case/movement/etc). Inquire with Rolex.

Post some good quality pics of the dial and watch here, the "Vintage" section may be best.

You ought to be able to get an authentic dial and links easy enough and if that's all that's needed, you can then put it through an RSC service albeit I am sure a 3rd party service with authenticity signed off on the receipt would be 'enough' for most people if it's a reputable shop.

It'll be cheaper and they won't replace anything you don't want replaced.
