Need some advice on installing sub 16610's click spring

good morning,
I have just joined this forum. I have an issue installing the click spring
back under the bezel, just right. Seems like it is always a hit and miss with me. Sometimes I get it perfect and othertimes I do not.

Can someone recommend a website that shows in detail as to how to get it right each time?

My procedure for installing the click spring is as follows:
1. I insert the L part of the spring into the hole.
2. I then hide the body into the cavity that is pre cut.
3. Then I place the ring on top.
4. Then I press down the bezel. Some times it works, sometimes it does not.
5. If I remove the insert and install the bezel first, then where should the free end of the click spring be in relation ot the watch?
6. I have included a pic.
thank you.

There are several videos on YouTube. Do you remove the bezel frequently?

Rocs, the thin flat washer (has a little spring bend to it) actually goes between the bezel and the click spring, not on top of the click spring. You want to press the bezel onto the case and adjust the bezel so the click spring end is seated exactly into the "valley" between any two teeth on the bezel. Then line up the insert so the 12:00 pearl with the 12:00 triangle on the dial and press the insert into the bezel recess, starting at 12:00 with both thumbs and moving them around the bezel until you're at 6:00 with both thumbs and clicks into place.

This is my 16710 GMT II, so your submariner click spring will not be a "^", but a "\" since it turns in only one direction and the GMT turns bidirectional.

Yes I agree but those videos do not show a zoomed up view of where things go. I like to play around with replacing inserts but have not replaced one in years.
So I have been out of touch/practice.
thank you

ok ---- so lets take it all apart. We have 4 separate pieces: Bezel, insert, click spring
and the round metal washer ring.
So now the click spring goes in first, right?
Followed by the ring washer.
Then the bezel
and then the insert.

Is the order correct?

So click spring is in the hole. Now comes the ring washer. Does it go under the resting spring or does it go over the resting spring?
The click spring's position relative to the ring washer, is what I am not understanding.

thnx

No. Flat disc washer below the click spring. Literally, just follow Stan’s pics above?

I put the click spring in the hole and carefully route it into the case slot. Then, carefully slide the flat washer under the click spring from the top.
