Favorite Two Tone (bi- metal)

So I know two tone has its fair share of haters, but I’m a child of the 80’s and own it. I still like TT and it gives me the champagne taste of precious metal I crave while staying within my beer budget.

I’m saving for one of these three (probably the Daytona) as they are my favorite two tones. I’m close to having to finalize a decision.

Please share some of your bimetal pics and let me know of other steel and gold pieces that you think merit consideration.

The two tone Santos Chrono has been calling my name lately. A beautiful classic piece.

I haven’t seen the Cartier in person but I’m a huge fan of the GMT in Rose gold. It’s stunning in various lighting conditions and the pictures just don’t do it justice.

Favorite two-tone of all time? Has to be the 16613LB. When I saw that watch as a kid in the early 90s, my eyes popped. It was one of those "I don't know exactly what that is, but I must have it" moments.

Dang,

I forgot about the GRNR for a hot minute, such a beautiful watch. I love the jubilee in two tone.

You’ve forgotten the blue faced Sub. Worthy of consideration.

I love a TT. Takes the crassness away from a full PM piece & balances the aesthetics.

Picked up this recently & it’s a stunner!

I love the bluesy. I'm just a little diver heavy right now. Although admittedly all steel.

Love it, I struggled between your one and the Bluesy, went with the blue, but darn, so many times I wish I went with the black dial.

I'll just have to add another at some point.....

I am with you on loving the TT look as a child of the 80s! I have a DJ 41 TT black dial, Sub TT (black) and a Cartier Santos TT. Love all of them but must say the Santos does have something really special about it plus it’s the most comfortable and versatile with the strap change mechanism. Was offered the Daytona TT in both black and white dial variants but turned them both down as I don’t think the execution of the TT Daytona is as great as it could be - if only the bezel was ceramic like on the full PM oyster flex. Rootbeer is really nice but not a great fan of the colour scheme compared to the more classic yellow gold TT. Good luck in your purchase!

I bought this Daytona new in the early 90s and it’s true that back then TT was the thing of beauty. Despite my large collection it has and will always be a fixture. I’ve said before that TT will have a resurgence soon. Fashion always goes in circles and a TT renaissance is well over due.
