Modern Daytona Vs VC 5500

Have had several Modern Ceramic Daytona’s always thought they wore very small. Debating about a VC 5500, anyone have both?

The new 126500 wears bigger. The 116500 wears like a 38mm as the new one wears closer to a 40mm. But they won’t wear anywhere near the 42.5 mm of the overseas.

Yeah I've had both. If the Daytona is too small for you (19 cm + wrist?) then the 5500V is going to be awesome. It is surely bigger but wears flat and the quality blows Rolex away. It's like going from tissot to Rolex.

The new 5520 is thinner fyi.

I didn't sell mine because of the fit or build quality but rather the non-matching date window. I'd pay to have no date on that watch (or matching black date). It would be just about perfect.

The non matching date wheel and the location of the date window is something that turns me off so many great models. Would it be considered horological sacrilege to use movement with a date function and omit the date and corresponding date window?

Anyway, I like you, would prefer no date function.

The Gen 2 Vacheron was way nicer with the big date function.
