In fact, ridiculously. That comment in a thread titled “Women Wearing Daytonas” can only be referring to one thing.

Poor OP what a welcome to the forum. She makes her first post on TRF and it turn into this
Anyway, if you’re still here OP, as you can see there are varied opinions and that’s all they are. Some people think the Daytona is a unisex watch. Some people think it should only be worn by men. Some people think you’ll look hot. Others think not. It doesn’t really matter, in the end it’s your choice and I’m betting that if you are lucky enough to own one, you’ll love it. At least you’ve received plenty of opinions, and for the benefit of all male and female members we now know the Websters definition of Misogyny. |

I once had a male jeweler do some custom work for me, and he was wearing a TT Tag Heuer SEL, like mine, but full size. It was sliding back and forth up his arm, the way a bangle bracelet would. I politely complemented him on his watch, as I would anyone, but did not ask why he preferred to wear it that way, for fear of it sounding like I was criticizing his fashion sense. Just to wade in on "team women" here.
I'm a woman, I work in the industry and wear anything ranging from a 126200, to a 116520, through a 14060M, beyond a 15710ST and 126600, and all the way up to a PAM00422. A "women's watch" is a watch that a woman chooses to wear. We dont all want to drip in diamonds, we dont all want quartz, and we dont all want tiny and "feminine" jewellery pieces. More to the point, the majority of female collectors do not give one tiny stuffed rats whether or not men find their choices "too masculine" or "not feminine enough" We arent collecting for your benefit. |

Thank you for showing some advertisements.
I'm pretty sure, if what I said was read carefully, that the caveat "we don't all" indicates that while "we don't all" want chintzy watches, some do, and yes, you have quite correctly identified that those who do are catered for. Aside from that, when I mean me, I'll say me. You don't need to do it on my behalf. |

I think you meant to say "Men" (Just kidding - I would never put words in your mouth! )
Styles are certainly changing. My wife owns a tiny little gold watch she got from her mother, probably 1cm across (never wears it.) Back in the day it was likely very common. Today she's wearing her 38mm Michele Deco |

Women (and men) can wear whatever they want. Of course women can rock Daytonas (or any other watch for that matter).

I think youve hit the nail on the head there, styles are definitely changing, and so are human builds. Certainly we are getting bigger, and not just referencing obesity. Humans have been growing over the last couple of hundred years, pretty quickly, and increasing by generations so what may have been a good size for a man 60/70 years ago is now considered "too small" 40s Omegas weren't uncommon at 32mm but these days a 36mm DJ is coasting "women's" size. I guess the same goes for women's watches, I for sure couldnt read a cocktail watch from the 60s let alone get one round my wrist, but women in the west were smaller then, and are taller now. (I dont know about East) Im just over 5'9 with a 7.25 inch wrist so wear anything over 36 without issue. |

Who cares what a man or women wears whether it's 30mm or 50mm. If you got the style and confidence to wear it, and like how it looks, then thats all that matters.

If I had not read in the ad who the woman was, I would not know. They have her so dolled up, I think she looks plastic, normally a very attractive woman.

I'd recommend the recently discontinued Daytonas or previous models. The newer models seem to wear a bit bigger.
Of course, if you want something that wears bigger, go for it. My wife borrows my Daytonas all the time. My only pet peeve is she wears it next to a bunch of gold and diamond bangles that scratch up the case and her "borrows" tend to be 6-12 months at a time because it's a pain in the ass to constantly remove and add back links to account for the size difference between my fat wrist and her slender wrists. |

My wife is amazing, is an incredible Mom, is a professional and head of 2 teams at a Fortune 500 company, and loves when I tell her she looks sexy hot in the Zenith Daytona I bought her, as well as any other time I tell her that. And she may tell me I look hot in a good suit, etc. We are not supermodels but enjoy complimenting each other and making each other feel good. Rather than miro-analyze every word or statement, we appreciate the attention and compliments.
