AD gave me wrong warranty card
I bought a 40mm YM from our local AD about 3 years ago and the thing is running about a minute slow per day and so I wanted to bring it in to get serviced under warranty. I go to find my warranty card and turns out I have the warranty card for a 37mm YM instead (I guess my fault for not double checking at the time of purchase).
So presumably I have someone in the world's warranty card and they have mine. Anyone have any experience with this / is it even possible to get the AD to get me a matching warranty card? |

Yikes! I have never heard of this. Sounds like a true honest mistake though. Your AD should be able to contact the YM37 owner and arrange the swap. Hopefully it's just between you two clients and doesn't involve more people. Or, hopefully the YM37 didn't sell their watch and the card was already passed along with it.

Contact your AD. Hopefully they should be able to sort this out.
I’m not sure if this is still correct, but I was advised a few years ago that ADs can in fact order replacement warranty cards but this needs to be direct from Rolex and there has to be a pretty good reason. This came from an AD who noted they were waiting for Rolex to issue new warranty cards on watches they had received back where customers wanted a refund/exchange. I was advised this process usually takes a few weeks. Good luck |

This happened to me but luckily I caught it one day later.
I got a 124060 from an AD and noticed they had given me the warranty card for a 126610. They gave me the correct card as they still had it in their possession. Hopefully your AD will get it sorted out. |

I like older warranty cards that have printing on them. It’s easier to see the model and serial number..

Happened to me with Omega. Bought a PO at an airport Omega boutique. Arrived at my home country and noticed the difference in serial number between card and watch. Got in touch, had to send the incorrect card and wait for the correct one. Took a few weeks on their part to send it but it ended well eventually. In my case, I was lucky they still had it.

Bummer! Take your receipt and or any other documentation you have to your AD and let them know the situation. Perhaps they can look up who bought the watch that matches the card you got and at least get it back to that person and if you are Lucky they can figure out who got yours.
Humans most likely put the cards in the boxes and we all know humans are capable of making all kinds of mistakes. Good Luck To You!

I’m pretty sure Rolex does not/will not issue a new card. The RSC will know though if your watch is still under warranty, you won’t need the card.
If the AD is still around by all means go see them but I think too much time has passed for them to find the original. |

When they service it, perhaps they can at least provide a 2 year warranty card, similar to what they provide with a CPO watch? As I said earlier, a mini nightmare, indeed….
