Rolex Ceramic Bezel Cleaning
If the platinum filled engraved numbers, letters or internal track of your ceramic bezel on the Sub, GMT, Daytona, etc have lost their luster, become encrusted with grime or filled with skin oils they will look unsightly and off tone or almost illegible. In the case of the Daytona the engraving is so fine that it is almost impossible to clean the interior part of each minuscule engraving with a soft brush. A non evasive method to bring the bezel engraving back to factory contrast and clarity I recommend using Polident Smokers and a drop of Dawn ultra. Left submerged for a few hours the interior of the engravings will be back to factory color/contrast again. The effervescent action of the polident will also be deep clean the watch and bracelet, especially the interior link areas and crevices.

With all of these (including dyes) in Polident, I’d find a better way to clean the bezel:
sodium bicarbonate, citric acid, potassium monopersulfate, sodium carbonate peroxide, sodium carbonate, TAED, sodium benzoate, PEG-180, sodium lauryl sulfate, flavor, VP/VA copolymer, cellulose gum, blue 1 lake, FD&C blue 2. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Good hack. I daily wash with diluted Dawn dishwashing detergent and it has kept any grime from building up. Might I recommend Dawn “Powerwash” for more stubborn stains and build up on your watch from sunscreen or grime. It makes a bracelet surgically clean. The spray is much easier to get into the tight spaces. I use it for all our jewelry as it makes my wife’s platinum diamond rings spotless and is fast and easy to do.

Well in general Rolex watches get such a very pampered life it's doubtful if most ever get dirty, and if and a big if they do, easily remedied with soap and water, rinse well and pat dry with any clean cotton type cloth.

I’ve never had a build up of anything on the bezel markers.
I wash my watches about once a week with a bit of dish soap, when I rotate them |

Sunscreen is my biggest contaminant and, while I do wash my Sub every few days with liquid soap or Vereat spray, I am always amazed how much hunk comes out of the bracelet after a good ultrasonic cleaning. However, I have not seen any accumulation in the bezel indices.

I was out last evening with friends and we were discussing our recent trip to Switzerland. The topic of ski conditions came up and I said I was just amazed that every day was sunny on the slopes over there … maybe it was just luck I don’t know. The fellow I was taking to told me that he had the same experience in Colorado. The suns always shining apparently. We both agreed that skiing here in Canada (Whistler) is great, but it lacks the sunshine … I can see why you must need sunscreen all year round |

Any form of brush, bristle or probing point could damage the platinum fill inside the engraving. The polident effervescent cleaning mechanism gets into all the crevices non evasively.
