Day Date pros, I need help

I am looking at a Rolex 118346 Platinum 36DD. Here is the problem, the seller says the watch is a 2001 model, but it has the newer solid milled clasp. I am pretty sure the YG six digit DDs didnt get the updated clasp until 2003 or 2004. Anyone know if Rolex changed on the Platinum one earlier? TIA
