How to see your Watches under Rolex system?

with AP, you can register your watches under AP website.

How do you see your registered watches under Rolex website, when you bought your watch with AD, not Rolex boutiques?

There isn’t a registry at Rolex that owners can use. An intranet exists for the purpose of service centers to see warranty status and/or theft status by serial number.

How do they know if someone bought a watch and then flipped it?

Rolex HQ wouldn’t automatically know unless the new owner went into an AD or RSC for something (like a bracelet adjustment).

Rolex could be using tools online that we don’t know about - just serial flippers would be snagged that way. A solitary owner who sells a watch isn’t their major interest methinks.

They care less about that than we might imagine. If an AD was consistently selling a bunch of $15k MSRP watches out the back door to his cousins for $18k and they in turn flipped them for $20k to grey dealers who sold for $23k...they would take action if they picked up on it.

Selling one watch at MSRP to one random customer who flipped it isn't likely to lead het noticed, much less to anything .

Rolex makes too many watches for each owner to register them.

The volume isn’t an impediment in and of itself.

But a passive RFID chip in every crown could be implemented and that’s a start. At point of sale, the buyer’s info could be registered for warranty service.

Why would they (Rolex) want that, and why would we want that?

If I want to know what watches I have I open the case.

Governance might be a reason.

I’m not advocating for anything, just commenting that the volume of sales wouldn’t make registration difficult.

Apple registers every watch (over 50 million last year) so it’s possible.
