Wearing watch with no water resistance? (Tank normale)

Was interested in getting a tank normale but the biggest holdup (outside of price) is the zero water resistance. I don't mean to swim with it but needing to check the weather forecast before wearing seems weird. I had a vintage navitimer that I took off when washing my hands but this would be 20x as expensive. Same thing goes for certain pateks, rated for humidity only. I guess basically save for special occasions only?

I can’t speak to this specific piece, but some degree of WR is critical to me. At this stage of my life, I’m looking to ‘de-stress’ and remove worry from my life. A watch with zero water resistance would fly in the face of that philosophy.

These days i even tend to shy away from anything less than 100m.

I have a watch that the manufacturer advised not to wash my hands with. I live in a region with unpredictable downpours and this means in theory I can't go outdoor with the watch. That said, I will find a cafe to enjoy my drinks whenever it pours.

Interesting. What was the reasoning from him on why that was the case?

Most minute repeaters have zero WR due to the activating slide on the side of the case. They are humidity protected only.

1133B with the original 2-pieces case (snap apart). Zero WR whatsoever. 40+yo. Perfectly good. Dial is minty. Modern low WR will be just fine.

Terrifying. Between that and how fragile/complicated minute repeaters are, I am surprised anyone opts for them.

Yea normale has ZERO wr. Not even splash. Seems odd in a modern time only piece.
