The wife and I went out antique shopping today, went to several stores, checked out some pawn shops, etc. Had a great time and a nice dinner. THE only problem is we almost killed one kid and nearly severely scalded another...
Why? because of stupid, irresponsible, inconsiderate parents.
While pulling into a parking space a 3 or 4 year old darted out between cars and we almost run him over. When I looked for the parent, she was sitting in her car with the windows up, a/c on and on the f...ing cell phone. she did not even see her kid almost get run over. Who in there right mind would let a little one like that loose in a parking lot in the first place?
Later on we stopped at a pastry shop for a donut and a cup of coffee to go. Paid the bill and was walking around the end of the counter to go fix the coffee and lo and behold a 2 foot tall person is playing on the restaurant floor, I stumbled and in order not to poor a scalding hot cup of coffee on this poor little girl, i poured it on myself. The parents sitting at a table having a great time oblivious to the kid not sitting at the table where she is supposed to be.
If either of these kids would have gotten hurt i would have felt terrible and maybe not even be able to live with myself. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE PARENTS WAKE UP....
I am a father and a grandfather, i am in a fraternity that loves and helps kids. i just don't want to see them hurt..

Sad thing is, those kids are going to grow up to be just like their parents.
