Jos. A Bank is definitely the place for an everday suit, conservative style, inexpensive and look good. Their Executive suits are the best bet for a fairly inexpensive suit and you wouldn't look like the guy who has only 1 suit from 20 years ago that everbody that wears suits would know right away.

Travel much? I was in Thailand on vaca and bought 3 custom suits. It was awesome to pick out your own design, color, materials.

But like what everybody else..Men's Warehouse and Dillards always has great suits and deals.

Both good posts. Jos A Bank makes a decent suit at several price levels. From what I have seen, they are better quality then Men's Wearhouse. I would get them to sell you 2 pairs of slacks with the suit - one pleated/cuffed and one not. That way the entire suit will last longer and not look so out of fashion later on. For example, pleats and cuffs are incredibly out of style now. If you know what to look for, Marshall's can be great. I still have dress shirts I bought there for $19.99 13 years ago.

I used to get mine at Britches of Georgetowne, but they are defunct. I probably need a few new ones. Where I live you can do a lot with a blue blazer

Get a pair of basic black oxfords with a cap toe.

One of my guys has his suits made in India (he is Sikh) and they do a great job for 20 pounds or so.

Mine doesn't say "made for Bond", (just my name and customer number there)... but this is for when I feel like playing 007...
