Huge amount of Rolex in Las Vegas right now

ADs and boutiques have all models on display, fully staffed to help buyers at the major hotels.

But all just standing around talking to each other, as just one Datejust for sale. Good thing Rolex has deep pockets.

I had a similar experience March 19 except for the SAs talking to each other. All were busy with customers. I even tried on a few watches. They did have anew white gold, blue face day date foar sale. About $41, 000. SA said it was put in the case 20 min before. This was at Caesars Rolex only store, not the larger multi brand one further into the forum shops

It didn’t sing to me and it was too similar to a watch that I own, but I’m sure that’s someonescooped it up soon after I left the boutique for a dinner. Someone got a beauty at MSRP.

I was in Las Vegas the week of the Super Bowl and we were queued up outside waiting to get in! Wait was not long.

Vegas is the only place I've had any luck with an AD...it's where I purchased my Sub. Lots of display pieces but there was also someone picking up a Daytona and another purchasing a datejust. They also acquired a datejust for a friend within a month of requesting. I think things are starting to ease up and having a sales associate willing to work with people helps.

Never bothered to even walk into Rolex in Vegas. Fantastic place to handle watches from other brands though.

lol, I had a similar experience at Milan. When I asked to see a couple of models on display, I was told that I would need to take an appointment because alls SAs were busy. I look to my left and there were four SAs (not including the one I was speaking to) talking to each other. So I ask her, “you mean THEY are busy?”, she smiles and says “yes, would you like an appointment?”

No thanks!

Never seen anyone buy a Rolex in my AD for years, then went to Watchfinder the other day for first time in years and saw two sales in half an hour, and with the prices they charge.

Best part of my visit last year was being in the Time Dome and having the SA in broken English say "na fa sail" every time she handed me a watch. This after I told her I didn't expect her to "sail" me a Rolex unless it was a grossly overpriced preowned model. Good times.

Was just in Vegas a few days ago and was primarily window shopping. Having said that they had the largest amount of Exhibition pieces I’ve seen there yet. I didn’t go into the AD there but the other place further into the forums had a lot however they consistently lead you over to the preowned pieces.

Point is, genius, WF and greys are busy dealing with clients while ADs are mostly bored and selling nothing most days and just fielding inquiries from flippers on their hot pieces.

I make it a habit to go into an AD every five years whether I want to or not. Come to think of it, I'm due!

I'll be in Vegas in September, do you think they'll have any left?

LOL, j/k, I ain't buyin' nuttin. Unless they have a SkyDweller. Or a Daytona. Maybe a GMT. But that's all. I'm not buying anything.

Although I could use a DJ, I guess. And the wife wants something green...

But no, no, I'm not going to buy anything.

I was in Vegas in late ‘22 and all of the watch store employees were pretty friendly. I casually asked a SA at the Breitling Boutique about a new release I had seen advertised. They hadn’t got one yet but months later she emailed asking if I still wanted one. I’d moved on by then but if they’d had one the first visit I would have impulse bought it.

I was at the Aria for a conference last week and popped into the Shops at Crystals (attached to the hotel). My colleague and I spent 30 minutes with an SA at the Rolex AD, Joel. He was incredibly kind and patient. We tried on a GMT, two tone Daytona and a 36mm OP. He appreciated that I was wearing my 14060 Submariner on a NATO strap. I genuinely enjoyed our conversation.

He shared they only had a women’s Datejust for sale and happily registered my interest in a few pieces.

Last week, a dozen exhibition pieces in the case at 2 different Texas AD I stopped in. Nothing for sale at one of them, only a small YG ladies with diamonds at the other. Claims of "supply should loosen this year" at both. Both have always been polite and nice though. At least there's that.

Hard to see supply loosening if fed is about to pivot and drop rates, we're only going to go right back into buying frenzy mode from here.
