sizing bracelet at official Rolex store - way of authenticating watch?
So we all know that if you go to a Rolex boutique with your Rolex, they will size your bracelet for free. Do they check the serial number to verify its authenticity when this is done, therefore authenticating the watch? Or would they size your bracelet even if its a fake watch?

They are not going to open your watch to verify the movement but if its an obvious fake they will tell you and likely won't size it if its a boutique.

I got mine sized at an AD, but bought grey. No eyelashed batted. I think if it was very obviously fake or they had the slightest inclination, they might run the serial number, but they handle so many all day long, I'd expect them to be able to tell fairly easily just by eye.
The boldness one would have to get a fake/super clone sized at a Rolex store, though...

I bought my 116610 from a well known Grey many years ago. Never really gave it a thought until I sent it in to RSC Dallas. Turns out they serviced it sent it back to me warranty and all. I guess its good :)

Why are you asking? If you think you’ve been sold a fake watch, have it authenticated by a reputable jeweler, who works on Rolex watches. If fake, get your money back, make a police report. Do something about it. Kat Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

This. No reason to play games otherwise. Just go and ask for verification. Shouldn't take too long

I wish that happened to me. I bought my 116710blnr grey market, brought it to a local AD to get it sized and they were abrasive with me after learning I didn't buy it from them. I brought it to them with the spare links, first she added the full links and set the clasp on the loosest micro adjustment, already knowing that was too big I put it on and she goes "that fits you perfectly!" as I could fit 3 fingers between the bracelet and my wrist. I got eyerolled each time (3) I had to ask her to re-size it

Maybe he knows his watch is a fake, but needs to have the bracelet sized.
