Welcome to the forum.
Much success - did you actually fly all the way from Europe to apply?

This is a genius ploy to get someone in the family to be able to service all your watches, at a minimal cost! Love it!

From what my son said, this is partially true.

Students do receive a $1800/mth stipend for the 18 month training. They then must successfully complete their final exam at the Rolex factory in Geneva.

Once they are certified they do have a job, but not necessarily at an RSC. My son was told that the majority of new technicians are destined for new AD locations. Any prospective new dealer must have a certified tech on staff.

When I was a student at LWT, we were told that while we could work for an RSC, they would prefer if we were employed by ADs or independents instead.

Congratulations, OP.

It might differ around the world, but here in Europe it is a pretty decent salary as a Rolex watchmaker. It won't make you rich but it's comfortable for sure.

I'm at an AD in the US, and I will agree that the pay is comfortable, and the work is stable.
