Meteorite Rolexes
Was thinking my next rolex would have a meteorite dial but need some help in picking. Price is a determining factor - I think the "cheapest" ones are the 116519 white gold meteorite (with the red hands, leather strap) and the relatively new pepsi (not a big fan of the maxi case).
The grail would be the black ceramic dial with meteorite but that goes for $90k+! What are your favorites? Are there sub $70k ones that you would recommend? |

I’m not certain whether you’re asking about new meteorite Daytonas only, or any meteorite references.
Meteorite dial Day-Dates were apparently offered on a few late 90s 5-digit DDs (18238, 18239, etc), and on most post-2000 6-digit DD models. (E.g., there’s a 2008 smooth bezel platinum 118206 DD on bracelet with a meteorite dial currently on C24 asking $44.5K, and a 2010 WG/fluted 118239 asking $33.5K) Mine is a 118239, and it probably gets more wrist time than any other watch I have. Personally, I think that meteorite dials in yellow gold look a little odd, but they suit the white metals beautifully. . |

116519 meteorite is a great watch…..more meteorite in the dial than the newer ones…..hard to find not overpolished though

There's a Sub with an aftermarket meteorite dial for sale in one of the FB groups and it looks totally badass.
