RSC 16520 Daytona Opinions Needed
Hi TRF Family,
Recently I got a lovely 1999 A-series 16520 Daytona, to make sure it has done the necessary mechanical part services I decided to drop it off to RSC. Everything was fine to me before sending it to the service center. Working fine and running just fine. I sent it to service just because its age. RSC called back today saying 1. They need to replace the chronograph hand (only the chronograph hand) because it will not function well if I want to use the chronograph function. (But I used it and it was fine before sending it to the RSC) 2. They need to replace the oscillating weight rotor because of oxidation based on what they described. To me, I’m fine with 1. changing the oscillating weight rotor. But regarding 2. I’m not sure. Even though chronograph hand doesn’t have any lume on it, but it’s still a serviced part. What’s your opinion on this? Should I do the oscillating weight rotor and have the hand replaced? Or have them return the watch to me since it was fine. Thanks! |
