Tudor Nato - Black Bay 925 Design Flaw
Wanted to pick up one of the official Tudor grey Nato straps for my BB 925 and couldn't believe how short it was.
This was the standard size that comes with the BB925 if you go for the Nato version. I have a regular wrist size (c18cm) and when I tried on the strap I had to wear it on the last hole and there was not enough length on it for it to even go through the first buckle let alone wrap around the two buckles at the top of the strap like a regular nato. Has anyone else had a similar experience - it also appears (according to my AD) that the nato for the BB 925 only comes in one size (as opposed to the natos for the steel version BB's that come in small, medium and large sizes). |

I found the fabric strap (not really a nato) that came (free in those days) with my Tudor Heritage Ranger rather too short for my 7 inch wrist, so I never wore it. Someone said there's a way to adjust it longer but I never tried it out as I prefer the bracelet anyway.

The strap length is adjustable. I just put one on my 925. It does have a flaw, though, in my mind, in that the end of the strap does not easily go under both sides of the buckle…only the first side and then through one of the adjustable metal retainers. Literally I just put it on the watch though, and may not be looking at it correctly yet. I will probably just go back to a regular aftermarket nato, which is what I’ve been using for the last year. It’s better than the leather strap, though, which I also have. Just not into dive watches on leather.

I have the 925 on leather, but my experience with nato straps is that they are adjustable at the buckle, so I would fiddle with it. I had some natos that I thought didn’t fit right and I added holes, only to figure out that they were indeed adjustable.
I have my 925 on an Erika’s original MN strap, which I highly recommend. |

Have you tried adjusting the strap?

I'm of the same opinion regarding strap length. Tudor make their Nato's too short. I ordered one for my BB58 and have relatively small wrists and it just about is enough.

I know it f doesn’t address your question, but you should check out Erika’s Original. Less than $100 and suits the watch very well, super easy to get the perfect fit.

You can shift the buckle to make the strap longer. I don't have any issues with it.

I own the 925 as well on the stock grey nato. And me, with my 7.375" wrist, was also on the last hole. It is adjustable, just have to fiddle with it.

the Tudor natos are the best out there but the leather has a nice taper. Anyone swimming with it? I guess that would limit it's versatility big time.
