Pepsi - 4 weeks on the wrist

It’s been 4 weeks since I picked up the Pepsi, and other than sleep/diy/garden work, it’s not left my wrist. Some observations;

- It’s super comfortable thanks to the jubilee bracelet.
- It’s more subdued than I original thought, a positive in my eyes, as my main concern prior to purchase was that the watch would be too flashy.
- The Blue/Red ceramic bezel changes through a whole spectrum of blues, reds, purples etc depending on the lighting. Not necessarily a bad thing, and adds a layer of interest imo.
- It’s more versatile than I thought it would be.
- Calibre 3285 has performed well. -28 seconds over 4 weeks so -1 second per day.

Overall, really pleased to have picked this one up and it’s easy to see why it’s a grail for many, including myself. It lives up to all expectations I had for this watch, and hype/availability issues aside, I think it’s probably the best model available in the current Rolex catalogue.

Have a good weekend TRF

I agree with you on all your points. I wear mine 24/7 although I do take it off to rotate with other watches every few weeks. If I'm using power tools or a lump hammer I will take it off but it stays on for most gardening and DIY.

The BLRO is a special reference. Feel and look on the wrist is very satisfying.

I don’t know. Best reason I could find:

“In Britain there wasn’t much call for these massive wagons and the smaller British vehicles had seats for the driver to sit on behind the horses. As most people are right-handed, the driver would sit to the right of the seat so his whip hand was free.

Traffic congestion in 18th century London led to a law being passed to make all traffic on London Bridge keep to the left in order to reduce collisions. This rule was incorporated into the Highway Act of 1835 and was adopted throughout the British Empire.” https://www.historic-uk.com/CultureU...e%20collisions.

Holy smokes … who knew! Maybe my car would go faster if I used a whip

No doubt the Pepsi is such a good looking watch, I love the older model because the bezel looks so much brighter ..
For me personally I prefer the brighter flashier bezel .. looks so good on jubilee ..

After wanting a Sub since the early 80s, and acquiring one in 2005, I was mostly unawares of most other Rolex models with the exceptions of the Daytona and Datejust. However, trying on a friends Pepsi and seeing all the gorgeous pictures of them, I recently moved the GMT II BLRO to the top of my "wants" list. They are particularly appealing to me. Beautiful watch!
