Sky Dweller White Gold Dial irritating...

I wish Rolex had made the dial for the white gold different than steel ones - maybe slate grey. Just wondering if others are bothered by that...?

I doubt someone looking at a PM skydweller cares what plebs think about it being similar to an SS one.

I think you're both right.

Someone looking at a PM skydweller wouldn't care about plebs thinking it looks similar to an SS one.

Someone looking at a PM skydweller and noticing that the stainless is the exact same color would likely prefer to get something just a little different.

But both of you can be right.

Great watch and I would not care if it was similar or not as it is about the metal.

Rolex and the PM GMT BLRO made it perfectly clear a PM customer better be buying their model for self satisfaction and not distinguishing themselves from a SS model. This means they hold their PM and SS models with the same reverence.

Not bothered by it since the white gold only comes on oyster flex.

Whoever that buys one is probably well aware that it looks like an SS variant, but still prefers the heavy duty, luxuriant feel of a precious metal watch.

I hear you! It would have been nice if Rolex differentiated the white gold dial a bit more from the steel versions. A unique color like slate grey would have been a great touch. I’m curious to see if others feel the same way.

I would agree. One thing I like about a white gold watch is that it has the feel and heft of a precious metal piece without the general public noticing a louder gold watch.

The slate dial from the rose gold version would have looked amazing and made it look subtly different.
