16202 and 5167R are different propositions.

It should be 16202 vs 5811 and 5167R vs ROO/11.59

Sorry for the delay in replying.

The other two pieces that compete for the top spot that the Jumbo (1) now occupies are;

2. AP 15500ST Blue dial 41mm

3. Rolex Day Date 40 Everose Olive dial

(Closely followed by my Blue dial Skydweller and AP 15510OR to round out the top 5)

I don't have the Jumbo yet in my collection. I would say the 5167 is my go-to. It is robust and suitable for everyday wear.

Although, I love my AP collection!

If I can only 1 watch, I would go for the 5167. However, I would love to have both in my collection.

Very different watches and easy call for 16202ST over 5167R for me. Much prefer Aquanauts in steel and didn't like the color of 5167R when I saw it live.

16202 is an iconic watch, for sure my vote is AP.

I went with a 5167 after debating against the 15202 because of the wearability as I have small wrists and pulling off a 39mm RO could be an issue. WR is also supposedly better on the Aquanaut but the new WR measure from Patek is confusing and a strange move to say the least.

That being said, the case and bracelet finishing on the RO jumbo is definitely superior to the Aquanaut although arguably easier to scratch. I think the 15202 had similar movement finishing as the Aquanaut but the new 16202 movements lean towards being more machine finished vs hand finished.

The RO will also get noticed more, something I don't really care about as I prefer a more low key watch but when spending this kind of money I'm sure some people would like for their watch to get noticed.

I'd go with the 16202 because I just don't like the shape of Patek Nautilus/Aquanaut.

To respond above, the movements of the 15202/16202/5167a are all machine finished. I can't see a single component which is not, but I'd be glad to learn if so. And I do prefer the look of the 16202 movement than the 15202 and Aquanaut.

Pretty hard choice if you like both design, the aquanaut could be a little more versatile as said before, but the Royal Oak bracelet is just something else imo.

Between this 2 references, I'll go 16202 without a doubt. It'll be a tough choice if the pick is between a Jumbo and Nautilus though.

Interesting feedback thus far, seems the jumbo is the heavily favored winner. I wonder then, if we replace the 16202 with a 15500 or 15550, would the AP still be your choice? I would guess so based on most respondents indicating the bracelet as the major factor.

While I’ve tried 41 and 37mm royal oaks, I’ve never seen a jumbo. Aquanaut rose gold and brown combo is really beautiful in person. But then thinking gold/brown, I’m not sure there’s anything better than the AP 26730or with brown scalloped dial but that is in an entirely different price bracket lol.

IMHO and I don’t think I’m alone here, 39mm is just the sweet spot for the RO shape.

I’m loving my 16202 but really feel the 41mm without complications is just a tad too big and the 37 too small. All this depends on your wrist size obviously.

If you compare steel to steel, I go AP

If you compare gold to gold, I go AP

If you do this comparison, I pick PP
