This. At least you're not seeing bare metal/ceramic underneath the scratch.

I would live with it. Not worth the hassle and expense to get fixed.

Appreciate all the comments everyone; I asked my watchmaker if it's possible to do it and he said yes, but he doesn't have the machine to do it. (Sand pressure/Sand blaster machine) I have another friend of mine who works at the Diamond district in NYC and he's going to ask around. If he finds no one, I will probably sell it and buy another one lol. Yes I know, I'm sick lol.

Leave it alone! You don’t want to risk make it worse. Wear it and forget that small mark. Beautiful watch!

This thread prompted me to get out the loop and take a close look at the bezels on my GMT's. For some reason the "8", on the "18" looked terrible. I washed it and it must have been dirt, because most of the imperfections went away. They sure did not look like dirt!

If you are not, I don’t think watches are for you. You’ll be selling the next one as well.

I'm not certain I'd notice it if it were me. You might try to take a pencil eraser to it.

For your next one just don't wear it at all. Then you'd be fine.

The safest option is to take it to an authorized service center to assess the damage, they might be able to polish out the scratch or something without compromising the bezel.

Very unfortunate. I doubt that will come out.
If it bothers you, get it fixed! Nothing worse than having a $18K-ish watch with a scratch that detracts from your enjoyment of it. To me this is different than scratching the band or side of the watch since it's in the direct view of viewing the time. I know some will say they like the wear and tear, so it certainly is a personal choice. If it makes you feel any better, this is usually the kind of luck I have (lol). |

I’ve seen a few posts over the years of folks who have had it “fixed”. The time, effort, and money never seemed worth the squeeze. I’d just leave it until you send the watch to a RSC for its next service.
