Many sales persons / AD's have been known to be incompetent at adjusting bracelets. There are many stories of this here and also at Watchuseek.

Here is my experience - it parallels typical stories:

So this was sorted out today, the spare links had the scuffs polished off the sides and the screw heads appear a lot cleaner. This done by the main watch smith.

The screw attaching the glide-lock which was below the line of the link & marred was replaced and sits quite flush now, and is clean.

The scuffs on the outer links brushing don't really bother me as they may well be from me, if not now then soon.

Now the ugly screws are fixed, and I was treated quite well on the day.

So happy days and I am wearing the watch again, any wear from now on is on me Thanks for the input guys, it can be difficult to know what to expect in a situation like this.

I got my GMT batman couple hours ago and checked all screws. I think it is scuffed from the factory while assembling the bracelet. Couple of my screws (and portion of the links around the screws) had scuffs and micro gauges when magnafying them 15X with a loop. I have a very small wrist and they removed 4 links therefore the middle ones should not have any scuffs. Hope it helps!
