Do you actually match your watch to what you are wearing?

I have been reading up on the Hulk and keep being surprised by all the people talking about being limited with what you wear it with.

That surprises me as I just wear a watch for a couple of weeks and then rotate to another one.

So just curious do guys actually worry with matching your watch to what you wear?

I don't..but then again a black dial and SS goes with anything. If I owned a Hulk (I wish I did) I would wear it regardless.

Like I said that's the plan for me, I rotate through em on a 2 week basis typically.

It’s more situational for me. I wear my GMT when traveling to Europe. I wear my divers when lounging around our pool or swimming. I wear my DJ41 for dressier situations. But I also wear my GMT and DJ41 when swimming, too. And I wear my Submariner or Seamaster in dressier situations.

My Speedmaster is a wildcard. It’s on a black leather strap, so that’s a limiting factor. I don’t swim with it. I also usually wear it if I’m wearing black shoes and a black leather belt. But sometimes I wear it when just lounging around the house.

I think the Hulk can be worn for almost any situation. It looks great with a navy blue suit.

Match it? Not really, but I match clothes and watch to activity. So the cause-effect isn’t clothes to watch or watch to clothes. Rather they are correlated somewhat as they have a common driver: the activities I am engaged in…

I must be psychic! I was joking about people matching their watch to their clothes 10 minutes ago!
My answer is "NO!"
My question is "Do you shop for watches that match your wardrobe, or is your new watch a reason to buy new clothes?

Or Buy a new car?
Or Change the siding on your house?

I have 12 watches in rotation. Do I limit which watch I wear depending on what I am wearing? No. However, there are times that I will match what I am doing, or what I am wearing to the watch. If I'm wearing green, I'll wear one of my green watches. If I am wearing something blue, I'll wear one of my blue watches. If I am dressing up, I'll wear one of my dress watches etc.

As much as I can, yes. Part of the buying decision for each of my modest collection was to ensure a Rolex for every occasion / attire situation. These three cover everything off with ease.

Not really. It's more what I am doing; traveling a GMT, swimming the Sub, black tie, gold watch with a leather band and a more plain face.

Personal preferences, It doesn't matter. Wear it how you enjoy it.

Short answer no and far as I know the hulk is a comic book character.

+1. I will also change from a bracelet to a black alligator strap when I want to dress up my nicer watch.

Yes, I do. A dress watch for during the week, sportive watch for evenings and weekends. I also have my preferences for certain clothes with specific color combinations.

I think the closest I get to this is switching straps on my Panerai to match my shoes!

No, it’s ridiculous to match your watch to your shirt. Costumey

Guilty.
The watch can add a nice punch to an outfit. I also match my clothes to the watch I want to wear.

Try to avoid clashes to some degree. More select one each day based on what is happening that day and my mood.
