Watch box for 16710 GMT

Hey all,

I thought I'd ask the brains trust about a query I had. I have a 2005 16710 GMT and it came with the later model watch box, the green plastic box with beige felt internals and c-cushion. I bought the watch second hand.

My questions is... is this the correct box? Did the later model 16710 come with this box or did they all come with the older wooden/brown box?

I know 100% my watch is genuine and it came with all links and papers, but I've always wondered about the box.

Thanks!!

At this time you got whatever box the AD had on his shelf at point of sale in general most all SS watches came in small.boxes.Plus the fact that boxes are made in several parts of the world,so even the box numbers could be different depending on what part of the world sold, boxes from around 2005 did have c type watch holder or cloth pillow.

A Rolex watch sold in 2005 could have been supplied with either of these.

Amazing! This explains it.
Mine is a late January 2005 watch so the new style box makes perfect sense.

Thank you!
