I think people are paying these prices. Try getting any SS Sub from an AD. Some will quote you several years and many aren't even taking requests.

What was happening in the past is past.
The ADs are returning to more normalcy as non-desirable watches are now shipping from RolexUSA. As these dealers now are in the CPO program, that covers for them.
Demand for SS Professional watches has dropped. However, it might be awhile before you walk into an AD and walk out with a Sub. Or hopefully it will.
Luxury items like a MB580 were scarce last year. Now, they are available.

On the other hand, paying over list is still rampant with buying Porsche 911’s. If you don’t pay the 3-7% over MSRP to the dealer - you will be waiting to Spec out your new ride for a very, very long time…And if you go out of state, you will still need the local dealer for maintenance and they are not so gracious to those who haven’t given them any business. That said, I had to pay 3.5% over list to get an allocation to Spec and get an estimated delivery of June 10……
I guess depends on where you live, I can get 10% off msrp for a 911 any time...

A great GTS build spec? Obviously the build spec is everything in a 911 and where it falls in “accessible”. I got 30+ years in 911 club racing and concourse/judging. I know people who know people and getting the right spec and model is still very difficult if not impossible if not properly vetted.

This thread needs a gratuitous Porsche pic before we get back to watches.
