Can I swap jubilee & oyster back and forth on BLNR?

Hi
New here and appreciate all the knowledge and support on here.

I’m getting a 2023 BLNR and wanted both a jubilee and oyster to swap back and forth. What’s the model # for the oyster bracelet I would need to fit the BLNR? And can it easily be switched back and forth by me?

Thank you all

If you have the right tool, it shouldn’t be too difficult. You will want to invest in the Bergeon 7825 tweezers. Your biggest problem will be acquiring the other bracelet. Rolex does not like to sell it separately. You will probably have to go grey for it.

Steel Oyster bracelet for GMT 126710 (not VNTR) is ref no 79200. Ask your AD before going grey.

You can, and I do this myself. Got my BLNR on Jubilee and sourced the Oyster bracelet from an AD this year—was not easy as they first told me it wasn’t possible etc etc.

Currently on Oyster and enjoying the look a lot but will go back on Jubilee in a couple months (preferred bracelet by far).

Just be aware: 1) DEFINITELY buy that Bergeon bracelet tweezer tool (will take seconds to remove the bracelet) and 2) even if you tape the lugs there might be some scratches/scuffs that happen (practice with other watches maybe).
I unfortunately nicked my lug edges but it’s all superficial come service time and being able to have two really contrasting looks is awesome for such a great watch.

ADs can do the switch for you but they’ve been known to do even more damage and the convenience of changing the look on a whim was a huge appeal for me.

Thank you! That’s my plan as well. Do you have the reference number for the jubilee bracelet that will fit the blnr?

Provided you’re getting a 126710 BLNR I believe it’s 69200

If you get allocated a BLNR on Jubilee, your AD should be able to order you an Oyster bracelet. Going the other way, Oytser to Jubile, is very difficult, if not impossible. As of earlier this year, Rolex was not selling the Jubilee bracelet.

I was allocated a GMT on Jubilee in early 2023. I walked into RSC NY and purchased an Oyster bracelet that summer. That was a year ago, not sure if you can walk into any RSC anymore.

I wouldn’t recommend it as even with the Bergeron tool. There is a high chance you nick the lugs. So annoying. It bugged me so much I had to get rid of my Daytona

I bought a Batman oyster bracelet about two years ago.
I asked about ordering jubilee then and AD said Rolex wouldn’t allow for about another year the lb but would probably in future.

But later like .one or two years after it was allowed and I was able to order a jubilee. The bergeron took I ordered was “ hard to use “ and I would probably scratch it so never tried.
my swap wa to Jubilee and was done by my Rolex certified tech at AD , no scratches.

Never changed it back to oyster but i’d good to have.

I don’t recall how much but about $2K?? and again kept original bracelet

Then I heard about a year ago they were not doing this because they didn’t have enough bracelets… so not sure current status

Talk to AD, then if ok to order let their watchmaker ( not sales AD do it). You could swap every 4 months and again don’t do it yourself!

Once you have the other bracelet it's easy to swap out whenever you want.

You won’t want to take it off the jubilee anyway

Talk to your AD about this. Some will allow you to buy. My AD already sold me a jubilee (granted this was a couple years ago).

Call the AD you use. If they can't sell one, then call RSC. Seems to be mixed success. You can also find 79200 bracelets for sale from time to time.

As for the tool, I use a $10 tool I bought from Amazon. It doesn't need to be anything extravagant. Then again, scratching doesn't bother me, but it might bother you.

My AD had a BLRO for me on jubilee & had the oyster in stock for me. This was January of this year. When I asked for the watch they recommended I buy it on jubilee & purchase the oyster. I presume they ordered the oyster for me when they knew the watch was coming. I was told they could not get the jubilee if I bought it on the oyster. I have yet to put it on, but was happy to get it.

As of 3 weeks ago both my local RSC and Dallas RSC said they are not taking orders for the GMT Jubilee.

Really? I thought AD won't just order you a bracelet especially one that's not for your model.
