Got the call today!

Today I got the call for a Rolex Submariner 126610LN. I have been wanting to buy this watch for awhile as a business gift and was starting to lose hope. Very thrilled to be able to receive it and hopefully this is a good sign that the market is loosening up with availability. I expressed this interest last fall at this dealer I believe, but had been asking multiple other dealers for over 3 1/2 years without success. Keep the faith everyone!

As a business gift. Are you not keeping the watch?

Nope, It’s a gift. It’s already boxed up and gift wrapped. I have enough watches. My friend has never owned or wore any watch in his entire life.

Nice move on your part. Must be a nice close business friend to have to wait all this time for this watch and he is still in your good books in order to receive this!

Got the call today!

Huge congrats! How exciting. That watch is all you’ll ever need, but you may find you will want another one or two. wrist shot, when you can, please.

Yes, very close friend who was invaluable to my business, and I could never thank him enough for his support and his friendship. I had no idea that this quest would take 3 1/2 years to complete but it was worth the wait when the call finally came this weekend. I think it will be the perfect 1st watch for him. It’s iconic. It was the first watch that entered my mind years ago when I decided to do this, and I had no idea then how hard it would be to obtain it (without giving in and going grey, of course).

Delivered the watch to my friend last night. He is very happy. Said it’s amazing. First watch he has had on his wrist in his life in 46 years. Not a bad start!
