Forgotten Rolex ???

Hi,
I’m wondering if anyone has this Cellini? Do anyone can share their opinion about this model? From the specs it’s very interesting. I just got an offer for this one for 13000 usd. Do anyone think it’s worth it? For me 38 mm case with manual movement and platinum case sounds like a good deal. What do you think?

Hard pass for me. Rolex is out of its lane with this one.

I really don’t follow this line a whole lot. I did like some of the newer iterations though

It’s gorgeous but don’t know anything about its value.

I think, this is a heavily overpriced 5240.

It's a beautiful watch and the platinum case has a nice heft to it. The problem I had with it was that it felt a little clunky to me - a little less refined than other similarly priced offerings from Patek or even JLC. I like the model 4243 Cellini Danaos models much more even. No way at a $13K price point, though!

To me, Rolex makes sports and tool watches, nothing more.

Cellini never did it for me. My dad likes them. But he's also a Calatrava guy...

When it comes to Rolex's dress watches, I like Rolex Cellini 50535 moonphase, or the new 1908. These ones, while still a Rolex, have never appealed to me.

Putting cost aside; after all similar watches can be had for £100 from Timex. This is a Rolex, it’s platinum, mechanical movement and 38mm which is a great size for a dress watch.
The only question is do you want it?

.
Well, there’s also do you want it knowing it’s worth half the day you buy it?
