Rolex Yacht-master 16622

Hi!

Normally I'm not good at presenting a watch, nor at photographing objects that are less than 50cm away (I don't have a macro lens). However, since there seem to be so few Yachtmasters here, I'll have to make an exception. And as luck would have it, today the Yachtmaster (on my arm) and the camera (on the desk) were so close together that I had enough time for quick pictures during my breakfast break.

About the watch itself: I don't need to explain much here. For me, the Yachtmaster is the brand's most beautiful sports model and, in contrast to the Submariner (more of a tool watch than a sporty one for me), a rare example with a good portion of understatement. Since I wear both alternately, I sometimes notice the difference very clearly: the 16610 is always recognized, a glance at the watch is almost unavoidable. With the 16622, I can only see this "I know what you have on your arm" behavior in a maximum of half of the people. It's amazing. And that's just the people I'm talking to. In short: I think the combination of sportiness and understatement is just perfect!

And now the pictures:

A classic .

Here's my 116622. The piece that introduced me to Rolex. Understated and sporty. A great complement to a Sub.

Definite fan here. Reckon there’s more YM love on trf than you realise.
