Question relating to Panerai and AD - dont look JJ
Will the AD swap over the strap thats on the watch for me? Or do I have to have the one that came with it from factory????

In most cases yes and if you ask real nice and with a coy smile they may even throw in a strap or two. Seriously, there are not many brands that don't discount so I would ask them, "since I know you can't discount the watch, could you add a strap gratis?" It certainly doesn't hurt to ask and more often than not they will do it. I would also call ahead to your AD and let them know you may need the shorter strap with the 111. That way, if they have to order it, they can do it now rather than later.

Hi Amanda
Yes i had this done with my base logo. It usually comes with a black leather and a plastic divers strap. I however asked for the diver strap to be taken out and a tan strap put in the box. I dont dive or get close to water. Cheers |

Amanda,
They should throw in one for you. If not, they will at least exchange one of the straps that comes with yours for one they have. I would recommend KEEPING the rubber strap that comes with your watch. Others would agree, this is probably the most under rated strap. It is very comfortable, looks good & is waterproof. Do you know which strap comes with your watch? Usually a black or tan OEM calf.

Thanks guys.. it has the tan OEM calf I think. I'd prefer a gator OEM.... they just look a bit more dressy. I can get plan straps easily enough.
I'll definitely keep the rubber strap, I figured it would be great to use when we go away on hiking holidays etc |

That OEM Rubber comfort strap is probably the most underrated strap Panerai has. I threw it on last night to give my daughter a bath and wore it most of the day today. It is an awesome strap that is super comfy and totally waterproof. Couple that with the fact that wearing a XX thousand dollar watch on a rubber strap has a very cool, "I don't give an EFF, what you think!!"
