Icon5 Hanhart?

Anyone heard of the company, Hanhart? Kind of been liking the 417ES. Comes in 38mm and 42mm.

Unsure of what the Flyback function is all about. Understand it is the ability to stop/reset/start at the press of one button. What does the right-most sub-dial do on the 417ES?

Anyone here own a Hanhart 417ES, or any other Hanhart watches?

Are you following me somehow? :D First Hamilton topic (which I sold BTW as -I did find it a tad too smallish for my taste), now the 417 ES which I got last week, the 39mm version.

The right dial is the minutes counter, goes up to 30.

Flyback allows for reset on the go, while the stopwatch is working so its basically single pusher stopwatch function. I went for the non flyback version as I wanted a plain all black dial and also along the way saved some money.

The company has great history and the current movement in the 417 is a manual Sellita, meaning any watchmaker will be able to take care of it when the time comes.

The watch wears great even if it is a bit thick for the size (13.5mm for both 42 and 39mm diameter, but out of which 2mm is for the sapphire dome, so it's 11.5). Also, the 39mm version uses 20mm straps so depends on what you have at home that might influence the decision. The 42mm version uses 21mm straps.

Anyway, few photos to make you pull the trigger. ;)

Great watches and one on my list. I do like it on the Bund Strap.

Nice photos!

Yes, the 417ES that I think I want is the 39mm with all black dial. Not overly concerned about the flyback function. Seriously doubt I will ever time anything. I just like the history of this piece and the fact that not everyone has one here in the U.S.

Is Watchbuys the best place to get one?

I have this watch on the bund strap. 42mm version and I love it. It doesn’t wear small so if your wrists are on the smaller side I would go the 39mm.

Great watch, great back story to the company (this watch in particular)and great price. What’s not to like.

Hanhart has reached history and it was good enough for King of cool on his personal collection
