I think there's been a shift in what people are looking for! Maybe trends are changing, or folks are just looking for something different right now.

Me too. I live pretty small, with one exception.

Right, nothing screams stealth wealth to even us WIS as a 30k plus watch on a rubber bracelet. White gold on an OF is so under the radar unless you knew what you were looking for it would pass for any basic watch imo.

Learned a long time ago, the wealthier one is, the less one shows. There's a quiet confidence, lack of pretense while remaining inconspicuous.

Hence I prefer white metal watches. Those who know, know. The ones who don't know, just don't know. Which is typically the norm.

I tend to look homeless more often than not, those who know, know why.

I live the simple life which isn't too simple & it's been good to me so far.

I think a lot of people mature out of wanting to "look rich" with age. It's like anything in life - if people are insecure about something they try to overcompensate. If someone is comfortable and confident in their own skin, then they don't feel the need to put on a front. Wealth image is exactly the same.

When it comes to watches it all depends on the underlying reasons for the purchase. If it's because you just genuinely like a watch, then whether it's SS, YG, WG, etc, doesn't remotely matter. But if someone is buying to show off to others and to possibly try to compensate for their own insecurities, then WG won't be as high on the list as YG or RG, as it can look like "cheap" SS to the layman.

I’m not saying you’re wrong. But that doesn’t explain the private jets lined up at the local airport near me, or the all beautiful yachts in Monaco.

I mean it’s sort of silly to get on your Gulfstream or Fincantieri, and then say, I’m wearing a stainless steel watch to hide my wealth.

You only live ONCE!!!! If you like it ROCK it!!!!

I have few regrets in life, and one was I had a Ferrari 355 Spyder and NEVER drove it, It just sat and or I let my GF at the time drive it way more than I did and then one day it was GONE!!!! I look back and that car was amazing it sounded and drove amazing!!! I missed the opportunity to feel that job and exhilaration.

So if you like it and it makes you happy Do it! If its Loud "F" What other people think! If it's To Blingy "F" what other people think! If you love it and it makes you happy DO IT!

And the Whole Stealth Wealth Thing is a PERSONAL CHOICE!! MAKE YOUR OWN choices! Live your own life! don't be the 80 Year old guy who cant even get out of his LAMBO! Who cant Walk up the stairs at the "Eiffel Tower" who waited to long!

If it was down to a “have to”, my five digit Sub would be the last to go. A duo, that and my ExII. A trio, those and my OP34.

Very well put, that's some life wisdom right here!

I believe there is no such thing as stealth wealth with a Rolex…generally speaking.
