Hi all,

I just brought YM Gold from BEN Bridge and i notice the serial number starting with Pxxxx. And the seller to me the year on the serial doesn't really matter. What count is the year the date sold, and the warranty which is send to Rolex company. it is true, please help.

You'll get a lot of different answers..

However, The solid gold models are usually a letter or two behind the fast moving Stainless Steel models.. And the Gold, less popular, models can be even further behind...

Rolex does not consider a watch "born", and the warranty does not start, until it is sold the first time...

Congradulations on your YM , I think it's a very underrated timepiece in the rolex lineup.

sorry i don't have a answer to your question, but tools and other trf members should be able to direct you enjoy your YM.

Good choice. The P is old and in need of a service already. Amazing thay they tried to pull that off and represent a P serial number as new. Badly done.

P should be regarded as "Old New Stock", but if it is brand new, I don't think it has a lot different. The most concern is the stock was kept in AD's display / store without any movement over years and the lubricant inside may be dried up and need service shortly.
