I'm both happy and sad...
Just got my GMT Master II back from RSC NY. While it was gone, I found this site and have spent quite a few hours here learning a lot and drooling over the elegant timepieces you all have. I was having withdrawal throes and was ready to buy another watch.
Well, I got my watch back yesterday after five weeks, and while at the AD, almost two hours away, I looked over all the watches and didn't see anything I liked better than what I have. I'm glad I have the one I really want (have had it for 17 years) but disappointed I don't have a burning desire for a new one... I was tempted by a coke GMT II though. |

I'm sure that the urge to acquire another model to join it will soon return.

For nine years my GMT II was my only Rolex and the only watch I wanted. Since joining this forum in January I've purchased three more Rolex watches.
You have been warned. |

Have ever felt platnium on your wrist, try on some other rolex timepieces, you will be surprised at your reaction , i have a real jones about purchasing a ss plat yachtmaster right now, i just wish i could find it with a bluedial instead of silver, platnium and blue that just sounds so hot, only a dream.

I few years ago all the sport watches were amazing, now I find that all the new models don't do it for me anymore. For me, it's the general direction that Rolex is heading, I just don't like it.

You can purchase a bezel insert and make your GMT a Coke (or Pepsi, or whatever, you can switch it back and forth to whatever suits your mood). The GMT also looks good on a jubilee bracelet for another different look. <in annoying TV announcer voice> The GMT is like a whole handful of watches rolled into one giganormous package! Take a look at what these guys did. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=49732 http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=61824 http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=76276 http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=63372 (a nylon tool to change the bezel insert - if you can ignore the sniping)

It's nice to see someone satisfied with what they have.
