It's quite easy to set up; just set to your home time and it does the rest of the moon and tide setting. You can also flip through the hours and days to see the future tide pattern, which is handy for me if I'm taking the dogs out and want to avoid walking them at low tide when there's dead fish and stuff on the beach.

My only issue is the dial looks a little dark in the white frame, and the flashing tide indicator can be hard to see unless outdoors or in a bright room. I was hoping you had done a tutorial on your channel for the 3215 but no such luck :)

There's a quick but useful demo of the GWX-5700CS (with black case) by Greg Anderson here: https://youtu.be/zYbthyCk5vI?si=eDUGXXBnn8qwvgQ0

Appreciate the link to that video! I really like this model and might even consider one. If I end up getting it this will be two G-Shock's purchased because of this thread.
This one seems like a really good travel watch for me. In the video he did seem to mention the stopwatch resetting itself after 1-hour. If true, this might be an issue for tracking Jet Ski rental time when on vacation. |

Thanks for providing that, I'll have to have a look later and try make a decision. Either way I like the watch and prior to your post had never seen them before. So you have a shot with the backlight on? Not sure if I missed one slmewhe.

Arrived today, a gift from one of the viewers a pretty rare G.
It was an engineering marvel and the thinnest G-Shock ever (still is) BUT, it was launched just as the BIG watches trend started so it was a market flop Second picture is next to my square. The strap is also the protective bezel Sent from my SM-A415F using Tapatalk |

A month on the wrist and still liking this one. Tidegraph is fairly accurate most of the time after I recalibrated it more precisely it with my local tide times. I also use it for telling the time in bed, as the white case and strap makes it easy to grab in the dark on the nightstand and the EL auto-light is easier on the eyes than my other G-Shocks.

Currently exploring the functions of this new G-Shock!
Not certain if I'll connect it to my phone yet, but this new display is really appealing to me. Part of the fun when you get one of these with a module you've never used before is getting acclimated to the functions. |

Congrats again on winning this one Rommel! I probably wouldn't connect it to the phone; I like my Gs to be self-contained. Looks like you need to get some steps in, though :)

An interesting recent video here titled "How G-Shock Became The Watch Of The Military, Navy SEALs, & Special Forces"

Believe it or not, for me they're the 6600 and 9052. The 6600 was the one that started it all for me many years ago, which I thankfully added to the collection again a few years ago. The 9052 I came close to buying but never actually have yet for some reason. Really like that one as well though so who knows.

I was looking for black friday deals on then 9052 but didn't find anything yet that made me go ahead. Later today (and tomorrow) hopefully something will pop up. No idea where I'll put it, but want one haha.

Great commercial! Seeing the Casio pocket TV really takes me back, absolutely loved mine back in the day.
