GMT Master

What do you folks think of this GMT Master. I'm considering something like this, not sure if I want this one, but if I did what do you think is a fair price in this type of condition with a scratched crystal etc. Any opinion is valued. Thanks!

The 16700 GMT is the sapphire crystal version of the early 1980's GMT model 16750. The 16700 was made from the late 1980's until 1999. The one in your post has been "rode hard and put up wet."

$2500 would be a fair price based on the condition, but I would want to know more about the watch as the listing has minimal information.

A real beater..... L series makes it a 88-90 vintage.

A new crystal is not a big deal.

I would also want to know service history and band condition (stretched?/damaged?).... these can add a lot to the cost of the piece.

ok

If this is authentic, the price is OK-- not super. I would be happy with this thing for kind of a beater. Keep in mind, from the looks, this will probably need a full service. So, you're really looking at a $3,000 watch.

For that money you can get a better looking/condition, no-date, Sub. Now, how does the price look?

All that said-- I'd still be happy with this, and in a few years the price won't matter.
