Do not buy from beckertime

I bought a watch off of ebay from Beckertime and when I received it I brought it to the Rolex headquarters in New York and they told me it was counterfit.

I want people to know since I see a lot of people asking if he is a legit seller on these forums, and he is not... I have no idea how he is considered a powerseller on ebay.

Please do not purchase from this seller.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

I assume you are referring to this auction --> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=360184767043

Did you inform Beckertime of this problem?

First, Welcome to the Forum!

That is a serious allegation on a solid buyer. Are you sure you purchased from this seller?

Do you have the auction ID?

Wow post a copy of what Rolex NY gave you in writing that says the watch is counterfit.
Was the seller not willing to issue you a full refund? They offer a No Risk Guarantee and had no previous negative feedback other than yours in the past 12 months.Did you know you were buying an old vintage ladies watch?

I noticed a LOT of times with Beckertime that you have to READ the fine print. Most watches have AFTERMARKET bracelets. Thus non-Rolex and maybe that is why Rolex says counterfeit. I saw some great deals of Day Dates BUT found they had aftermarket gold bracelets made in Italy and that is why the price was so good. Real gold, just not Rolex gold. IMHO....

Beckertime responded to the negative feedback ....

"NOT TRUE - Rolex Dallas confirmed full authenticity - docs to prove 100% genuine"

I am sure Becktime would have taken the watch back and refunded 100% if there was a question of authenticity.

1+1 is not equaling 2 here.

...the poster of this thread.

...the watch is GOOD as is the band.

...someone trying to stir-up the pot.

...someone is trying to create friction here on the forum.

...the ONLY way this is fake, is if it has a COUNTERFEIT mvm't.

Thats what I thought to Pav......Beckertime has been around for a long time on Ebay and would be one of the few I would consider purchasing from on that horible site...! At first I was thinking somehow his tech just droped the ball, but after looking over the pics and description,It looks legit to me.....

Maybe buyers remorse?I think for that money he could have gotten sapphire crystal model with a better band. But he bid and bought it. Still no reason for negative feedback etc.

I feel the need to step up here.

I've purchased three different pieces from Beckertime and not only have the items been exactly as described, his after sales support has been unparalleled.

True story: My wife's Datejust was running a little slow and the date wasn't clicking cleanly. When I phoned Beckertime to arrange for warranty work, he said that since I was in Canada and the customs would be a problem, that I should take it to the local AD and send the bill to him!!! He was ready to send me a cheque (the watch was in need of a service) but I told him to hold it as a credit against my next purchase (which he honoured in spades).

Just to be clear: I don't work for the guy, I have no business interest with him except as a customer, and I don't go around cheerleading businesses for no reason. But when I see negative claims made about a business that has been ideal to work with, I feel the need to step up in defense of said business.

And if one truly did slip through the cracks, then it must have been the one in a million. Beckertime didn't get an 11000+ feedback rating dealing in Faulexes.

(And there's a reason the "watch out" specials often steal his photos. If you're going to steal, why not do it from the best?)

So is the general consensus that this one post guy listed a false claim on here? Judging just by the numbers from Beckertime, I would fully trust them as a buyer. I would fully assume if something was truly wrong, they would refund the money and apologize. But as above, someone stating to fully read the fine print? I really don't like companies that do that. If I'm paying the going market value for a used roles, I don't want switched out bands, internals, etc.

Since this post, beckertime has reached out to me to rectify any issues. Seems legit in trying to resolve the concerns. We are working it out... more to come.

Next time give the seller the opportunity to respond and rectify the situation before blasting them.

Feedback for this transaction was changed to positive .... I presume the seller contacted ebay to change it.

We do not know if opportunity was given or not. In fact, it appears (from their response) that the seller took the position that nothing was wrong with the product. This may very well be a situation where strong action was needed.

let me be very clear on my post... Rolex headquarters in NYC DID tell me the watch was not authentic to their standards... I have given beckertime that feedback, however they rectify that with this specific watch is up to them. Could very well be a one off situation.

He has been very accommodating and is sending me another watch that he assures Rolex will confirm is authentic by their standards. I intend to get it checked again and will report back on my experience with the new watch.

Good for you, for doing the homework. I wonder if it had an aftermarket part inside w/the movement?

Also, excellent on Beckertime to back their guarantee!

Everyone is happy at the end.... This does not happen all the time!

CHEERS!!!

Please be more specific... what part of the watch was not up to their standards.

Thanks for your anticipated response.

If the watch was counterfeit, you wouldn't have received the watch back from the RSC. The RSC must have had an issue with some part on the watch.
