At 165 grams, I guess he'd be a light-heavyweight contender!! LOL!!
Hi guys,
Weighed my new TT GMT-IIC on two different, accurate electronic scales - came up with a full weight of 165 grams (that's with all original links as provided from Rolex, Geneva)!! Note 7½ links on the '12' side.......and 5 links on the '6' side!! JJ

Weight in itself such as it is might not be a problem, but a good thing.
I mean look at Pamela Anderson, What I really mean is it is important more how the weight is distributed. If the distribution of weight yields a nicely weighted watch around the wrist in both watch head and bracelet then the weight can be very much more comfortable than an ill fitting or balanced watch of the same weight. Also in the area of weight and comfort, the fit of the bracelet is of great significance. I had my GMTIIC and for over 18 months it felt very uncomfortable. Then I gots to thinkings one day.... I added a link to one side of the clasp, moved a link to the other side of the clasp, shortened the clasp adjustment and the result was nothing short of sensational. So there you go my

With the stickers removed and all factory links installed, my SS GMT IIc weighs exactly 152.24 grams. I weighed it myself this morning.

JJ, do you feel the extra weight comes mostly from the newer bracelets or is the new watch case that much heavier? Just curious.

The clasp too is more solid as compared with the older stamped ones. Watch cases have been slightly broadened and add up to the weight. JJ
