DateJust Questions

Hi Everyone!

This will be my first post and excuse me for my naivety. I am looking to purchase a Rolex, and have a few questions:

I really like the Oyster Perpetual Datejust Mens Watch pictured here. I noticed that this one has a bezel, while most of the other Datejust watches do not have a bezel. Is this particular model a much older watch or is it discontinued? I was not able to find a model similar to this on the Rolex website.

Also, what is the typical % deal I should be looking for when buying my Rolex? The last time I was at an AD they quoted me for a max of 25% off a JLC. Would this type of discount be possible for a Rolex, or do they discount less?

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to TRF.

That there is a TOG (Turn-O-Graph) model with a bi-directional bezel made of White Gold.

It's just a further modification of the normal Datejust which has a FIXED fluted or domed bezel.

The bezel can be a useful feature for the timing of parking meters, etc., but this model is not as popular as the normal DJ.

25% discount is good, but with this model, you could probably press for more.

Good luck - JJ

Welcome to TRF. Yes, its a Turnograph Datejust and getting anything from 20-30% off would be nice.

Great choice. I have the white face Turn o Graph and is the perfect combination of sport and dressiness.

Welcome to the forum
