Clarifying something from my owner's manual

On the Explorer II / GMT II, is it true that, unlike most other watches, changing the date between 8pm and 2am doesn't matter? Most watches I've had caution you against doing this, but I saw no reference to it with my Exp. Also, can the date be changed backwards? I didn't want to experiment and the booklet wasn't 100% clear.

No it doesn't matter what time of day you change the date.

I am not sure if you can turn the crown counter-clockwise to back-up the date.

You can change the date at anytime.....and you can change it backwards or forwards....no problems....I have an Explorer II and a GMTIIc.....works with both....the Explorer II effectively has the same movement as the older GMTII.....so no worries.....change the time and date at will....either way

You can change the date or time on any Rolex at any time. Go ahead and experiment, you can't hurt it.
