Help needed..Tudor 79280p lug double holes?

Hi
I am seeking help from Tudor enthusiasts, I have a 1997 transitional 79280p with a 78400 bracelet and 605 ends. My question is, why are the 2 holes in each lug, one a through hole and the other above it is a blind hole. Has anyone got/seen one of these?
Will try and gets some pics uploaded soon for you guys to look at.
Thanks
Rob

The lug holes closer to the case are for the end pieces used when the watch is sold on leather strap.

Since yours have the Oyster 78400 those holes are not really needed, but it is the same case for both versions.

I do not have any pictures, but if you do a web search you'll find a 792X0P on strap, and see what I mean.

Congrats on a great watch! I have a 79260P on Tudor Jubilee bracelet. I really like it.

Best,

A
