Losing the "Sub love"
I have a stainless steel DJ and a stainless steel Sub which I typically rotate after wearing each for a couple of weeks at time. Lately it seems I have lost the desire to wear the Sub, it just does not excite me anymore like the DJ still does. I have found myself switching every few days between the DJ and a vintage stainless steel Girard-Perregaux on an alligator strap. Can't say I miss the Sub but I have no desire to get rid of it either. Maybe it's just a phase I am going through. I still enjoy how the DJ looks on my wrist. If anything I would replace the Sub with an Explorer I, but that won't be done for a long time, if ever. I had an Exp I years ago and that is the one I truly regret gettin rid of. OK, I'm done rambling.

Why not just flip it for an Explorer? Depending on condition, it could be close to a wash.

Watches come and go.
I love the Sub but I grew tired of mine and flipped it for a mint 2003 Pepsi GMT (always my dream watch) and an Omega Seamaster. Do I regret selling the Sub. Yes. Do I regret buying the GMT and the Seamaster. No. Will I sell the GMT - never. Will I get another Sub in the future. Probably (and most likely an older model with lug holes). Wait, and see how you feel in a while. If you feel the same, flip the Sub and don't look back.

the people that sold their subs always regreted it. keep it and if you do not want to see it, hide it.. after a few months/years it will wait for you. now, if you can sell it in a really decent price (very difficult under this financial crisis) just DO IT and put the money in a savings acct (2% APY)

I've had that happen to me in the past. My current SS Sub-date is No.5 (not to mention 4 separate TT Subs) Best thing to do at times like these, is put the watch aside in a safe place - out of sight and out of mind for a month or so. A month later I can betcha you will be craving to wear it once again. Good luck - JJ

I agree with what's been said here...put it away for a month or so and then see how you feel. I bet you'll be happy to see it again!

I have a TT Bluesy which was my first and seldom wear it but I could never bring myself to part with it. My SS Sub is my everyday wearer and my most recent addition which I just can't take off.

I will never sell my Sub. Did once and totally regretted it. You would have to saw it off my wrist. It's the staple of my collection, whether I have one watch or many.

Everyone here know how I feel about The Deep Sea and how it is the best Rolex I have ever owned.. This is very true. But I regret selling my SS Sub Date and wish I still had it... Sold it approx 8 month ago.
