DSSD good for everyday wear???

Is the DSSD a good everyday watch? Are any of the proud DSSD owners wearing this model with a suit or is it simply too tall?

There are plenty of proud members in here.

Wait for them to chime in....I personally like it as a casual watch, it looks freaking awesome!

It depends on how you wear your dress shirt. It works decent with french cuffs which I am not a huge fan of. On regular button shirts I prefer the cuff diameter about a half inch larger than my wrist size. This is where the problem is for me. I like my shirt cuff to cover my watch, when I wear my DSSD it bunches up and looks sloppy in my opinion. Other than that I absolutely love my DSSD.

Is the DSSD really that much taller than these enormous 48mm Breitlings that folks are wearing?

It is my everyday watch and there's nothing like it or better, as to can you wear it with a suit take a look at the picture. I got a lot of compliments on my watch all my friends noticed right away and where all curious to know what kind of Rolex it was, all comments stated that they love the size of the bigger Rolex.. Now I said it before if you like the DSSD but have a concern about wearing it with a suit or shirt sleeve, would a person who dives have a concern about buying a Daytona... solution buy to 2 watches if you must for me the DSSD is great for both... DSSD Rocks!!!

No I haven't worn it to work yet, Car extrications on trapped patients, house or strip mall fires, that sort of thing. I don't want to bang it up ... so no I don't wear it on duty

Yes I think it does qualify as an everyday watch. It's comfortable to wear because of the Glidelock and I think it's not too big to wear with long sleeves. The only time I wouldn't wear it is to a formal event requiring a dinner suit, but how many of those do we have to attend anyway?

For me it's perfect for everyday wear. For you? I have no idea. Try the watch and decide for yourself...that's really the only way you're truly going to determine the correct answer.

I wear mine to work every day. It's my one and only watch.

I dont' wear a suit, but even if I did, I'd still wear it.

I wear it every day. I don't wear suits or long sleeved shirts, but I would not take it off if I did.

Well , the first weeks I had it I did find it a tat big with my suits and wore the Daytona to work . I now seem comfortable with it and wear nearly all of the time and the date function is a bonus at work .

Have a look at this thread, page two and scroll down to see a picture of David Beckham wearing a DEEPSEA with a suit. This is how I wear mine with a suit.

I am a proud DSSD owner! But being in Florida i wear short sleeve shirts, i really don't think i ever had a long sleeve shirt on with my DeepSea.

Ever since my first Panarai, I have been getting my dress shirts made with the left cuff 1/4" bigger than the right cuff. It saves the wear and tear on the edges of the cuff (Breitling bezel is the hardest on my shirts) and allows for a better fit.

I imagine you can have the button moved out a bit if needed on your existing cuffs.
